In the area of dance, Ms Goodman founded the non profit organization, Dance Baltimore in 2003. In its first four years, the organization produced Dance Baltimore!, a free, all day dance festival with youth and professional presentations at The Morris A. Mechanic Theatre, Murphy Fine Arts Center and Hippodrome Theatre. The event won the “Best Dance Event in Baltimore” award from Baltimore magazine in its first year, and attracted an audience of close to 3,500 in its third year.

Annually, Dance Baltimore produces a number of dance concerts featuring area professional dance companies and perfromers at The Baltimore Museum of Art, Gordon Center for Performing Arts, the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland, Murphy Fine Arts Center, Theatre Project, The Creative Alliance at The Patterson and other venues. Dance Baltimore has been contracted in past years to provide performances, classes and other services for Artscape, the country’s largest arts festival; AARP/Maryland, Black Engineer of the Year Awards Ceremony, Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, Baltimore City’s Department of Recreation and Parks and others.
