Director's Bio
Cheryl T. Goodman, Founder/Director of the non profit organization, Dance Baltimore, Inc., is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional and Creative Writing/Verbal and Visual Communications. A classically trained pianist, “dance hobbyist,” published feature writer, successful grantwriter, and on air radio and television personality, Ms. Goodman has studied, worked, and performed in the professional arena of arts and entertainment since 1982, and specifically, non-profit arts administration since 1985.
Ms. Goodman’s work experience in the areas of development, marketing, programming, special events production and technical assistance includes several years of service on the local, state, and national levels. She has created and implemented funding and performance programs for the Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP), Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation and the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities. Her expertise in the performing arts has been sought on grant review panels in dance and music, artistic competitions, advisory committees and conference panels for the Michigan Council on Art and Culture,
