Intermediate Modern Dance Classes
Intermediate Level dancers study with the area's most prominent instructors to improve strength, technique, and performance quality.
Dance Theatre of Harlem at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum
Six months of dance classes at the Museum inspired city residents to view the exemplary exhibit view the eyes of participants, dancers! A special fashion show of dance costumes and a concert by area dance professionals was the culminating event.
Michael Jackson's "Thriller"
Dance Baltimore teaches Michael Jackson's classic routine annually from the gloved one's birthday in August through Halloween. This year, even Baltimore's Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake joined in the dance!
Let's Go Aerial!
Dance Baltimore provides an opportunity to experience a variety of dance styles. An aerial dance class led by Jayne Bernasconi, 2009 and 2010 sold out both years.
2013 to present
Students from all ages and various walks of life, learned from a collective of talented teachers of African Dance, Hip Hop, Modern, and more to end their six week intensive with a performance at the Murphy Fine Arts Center.
Thrill the World
The Hippodrome Theatre
Dance Baltimore participated in a world wide effort to break the Guinnes Book of World Record for "the most people dancing the same dance at the same time" (formerly held by the Hokie Pokie. Close to 300 people in full zombie costume danced in Baltimore)
TAP DAY 2009
National Tap Day, Harborplace
Tap dancers from as far away as Kent County and York, PA gathered in front of the National Science Center, ages 10 - 85, Hosted by local tap masters Ed Terry and Ryan Jackson.
