Let’s Move! A Community Dance Workshop
Five Weeks of FREE Dance Classes for Adults and Teens
Join Dance Baltimore for the eighth annual Community Dance Workshop, five
weeks of free dance classes for anyone (and I mean anyone) who wants to
dance. Classes are in jazz, modern, and ethnic styles and available to adults
ages 18 and up. (Young people ages 14 - 17 are accepted with previous
dance experience.)
Classes are scheduled for Sundays, March 9, 16, 29, April 4 and 11
(no class on Easter Sunday) at the Eubie Blake Cultural Arts Center, 847
North Howard Street, downtown, across from Maryland General Hospital. All
interested are asked to come dressed to dance—sweat pants, tee shirt,
tights, leotards, but no jeans.
A final concert is scheduled for Saturday, April 19 at The Baltimore Museum
of Art. Instructors for the workshop this year are popular local dance
choreographers Tiffany Butler (Stephanie Powell DanseEnsemble), Christian
Williams (Coppin State University) and Lori Goodman-Joyner (Western High
School).
The Community Dance Workshop is free to all, however, registration is
required. Register at ctg@dancebaltimore.org or call 1.866.756.5673 (toll
free). Everybody can dance--for fun, for fitness, for life.
No previous dance experience is necessary.
