EVERYBODY DANCES AT DANCE BALTIMORE
FREE DANCE CLASSES IN MODERN, LINE DANCE AND HIP HOP
A FREE, all day festival featuring the best Baltimore has to offer in modern, jazz, ballet, hip
hop, ethnic dance and more, returns for a third exciting year. Dance Baltimore, at its new
location, The Hippodrome Theatre, 12 North Eutaw Street, is set for Saturday, May 7, 2005.
The day includes dance classes for all levels of participants in modern, line dance and Hip
Hop:

Class Schedule:
Class I:
9–9:50 a.m.
                Modern Dance with Juliet Forrest (ages 14 to adult)

Class II:
10–10:50 a.m.
            Line Dance with Wayne Jackson (ages 8 to adult)

Class III:          
11–11:50 a.m.
            Hip-Hop with Esperonto Bean (ages 8 to adult)


Juliet Forrest is an Associate Professor of Dance at Goucher College. With teaching
experience at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Ms. Forest has also had her choreography
commissioned by a number of local venues and presented at The Kennedy Center. Wayne
Jackson is Line Dance King Extraordinaire. A member of the famed Charm City Steppers, he
has taught line dancing for a number of area organizations including the Baltimore City Public
School System.

And back by popular demand is Esperonto Bean who taught Hip Hop at last year’s Dance
Baltimore. With over 70 students ranging from 8 to 68, the class was one of the day’s
favorites. Mr. Bean teaches and performs Hip Hop at colleges, universities, private studios
and corporate functions throughout the city.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. All participants are asked to come dressed to dance.
Participants can register for one class or all three. Deadline to register is Friday, April 29.
